STEAM After-School

Mosaic Life Care Foundation’s STEAM After-School enrichment programs are designed to create and develop an interest in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. All sessions feature hands-on activities led by trained facilitators. Participants may code drones and video games, build machines and robots.

Modules:

Lego WeDo 2.0 Robotics (Grades 3-5)

Lego WeDo Robotics is a favorite of our STEAM participants.  Featuring a diverse curriculum that allows students to explore a variety of concepts, this program offers the students an opportunity to problem solve, create and build unique robots, and even develop coding skills.

TYNKER Coding (Grades 3-5)

TYNKER is a fun way for students to explore the world of coding.  As students learn at their own pace, they build game worlds, design and animate characters, and program game controls and motion while including music and sounds.  No prior programming experience is required.

Lego SPIKE Prime Robotics (Grades 6-8)

SPIKE Prime is a terrific way for students to learn about building and coding robots.   Combining colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language, SPIKE Prime continuously engages students to think critically and solve complex problems.  From easy-entry projects to limitless creative design possibilities, SPIKE Prime helps students learn the essential STEAM and 21st-century skills while having fun!

Virtual Reality Explorers (Grades 6-8)

Students get to experience and explore utilizing this incredibly immersive technology.  Whether it is visiting outer space, creating three-dimensional art, exploring our planet, or problem-solving in breathtaking environments, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
