Lowell C. Kruse Healthy Choices. Healthy Lives. Scholarship
The Kruse Scholarship provides financial assistance to a first-year, full-time graduate student studying in areas leading to improved quality of life for residents of Mosaic Life Care’s service region. These areas include, but are not limited to: Health Care Administration, Early Childhood Development, Not-For-Profit Management, and Educational Leadership. This scholarship is funded by Mosaic Life Care and managed by Mosaic Life Care Foundation.

Patrick L. Newman Mic-O-Say Scholarship
The Newman Mic-O-Say Scholarship provides educational assistance to members of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. This scholarship honors a man who spent a good part of his life involved with Boy Scouts. This program is only open to members of the Pony Express Council Tribe of Mic-O-Say and is not restricted by geographic location.

Established by Mosaic Life Care Foundation, these scholarships provide financial assistance to past participants of emPowerU programs who are pursuing post-secondary education.

Healthcare Scholarships
The following list of scholarships require acceptance into a health care or nursing program prior to application.
Voiture 130 of the 40 & 8 and Mosaic Life Care Foundation created a scholarship program as a tribute to the late Bill and Mary Russell. This scholarship provides financial assistance for those pursuing educational opportunities toward a career in nursing or a health care field.

The Hines scholarship provides financial assistance to Mosaic Life Care nurses pursuing a degree beyond the bachelor’s level. This scholarship was established through Mosaic Life Care Foundation in 1997 by friends and family of the late Dr. Hines to honor a lifetime of excellence in nursing practice.

The Redmond scholarship provides financial assistance for those pursuing education opportunities toward a health related field (clinical or patient care) with a desire to serve their community. This scholarship serves as a tribute to the late Dr. William and Mrs. Muriel Redmond. Qualified applicants must reside within the Missouri counties of Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton and DeKalb.

$1,500 renewable scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors from the region pursuing a health care study area. Examples include, but are not limited to: nursing, respiratory therapy, medical lab scientist, surgical technologist, radiologic technologist, occupational therapy and physical therapy.

The Hartigan scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals in the field of nursing and/or surgical services, with an emphasis on surgical nursing. This scholarship was created in 1999 to honor the late Mary Alice Hartigan. Friends, family and co-workers of Mrs. Hartigan partnered with Mosaic Life Care Foundation to establish this fund as a tribute to her years of dedication in the nursing profession and devotion to surgical services.

The Reinert scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals pursing health care education and training and especially those with an interest in surgical nursing and/or services. This scholarship primarily focuses on educational opportunities for those preparing for surgical nursing or furthering skills of persons already working in these areas.

The Mosaic Life Care Hospice scholarship provides financial assistance for those pursuing healthcare educational opportunities by developing their knowledge and skills toward a career that will improve the care persons receive as they near the end of life.

The Flies Anderson scholarship provides financial assistance for a senior level student in an accredited RN program. This scholarship emphasizes academic and clinical excellence achievements. Mrs. Anderson, a 1941 graduate of Missouri Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, established the Velma Flies Anderson Scholarship.
