Foundation Offers STEAM After-School

With children in northwest Missouri back in the classroom, parents may be looking for after-school activities.

Mosaic Life Care Foundation is offering STEAM After-School enrichment programming at emPowerU, Tuesdays, Oct. 18 – Nov. 22, 4:30 – 6 p.m.

The programs are designed for students entering grades 3 – 8 to create and develop an interest in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM). Program offerings include: LEGO Powered Machines, LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics, Coding Drones and Virtual Reality Explorers.

Devran Brower, director of program operations, said students are engaged in this fun learning experience.

“STEAM programs are incredibly powerful and exciting for our youth,” Brower said. “Kids are introduced to many new things and it encourages innovative thinking.”

All sessions feature hands-on activities led by trained facilitators. The cost is $50 per child for the six-week program. To register, visit https://www.mlcfoundation.com/after-school-programming/.
