Full STEAM Ahead!

Heartland Foundation brought two new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) events to our region in 2018 . . . The Big Muddy Mini Maker Faire and Camp Invention.  Both events are set to return in 2019!

Mark your calendars!

The Big Muddy Mini Maker Faire will return to Restoration Natatorium on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

A Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth – part science fair, part county fair, and part something new. This family-friendly showcase of invention and creativity brings together tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors – all known by the name “Makers.” Makers come to a “Maker Faire” to show their creations and share their discoveries with others.

Camp Invention will return to our emPowerU Campus July 8-12, 2019.

Camp Invention is one week in the summer where your child’s creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills are challenged and developed in fun and exciting ways. Our top priority is to inspire future innovators and build their confidence in the natural ability to dream and create.
