Foundation Offers STEAM After-School

Foundation Offers STEAM After-School

Mosaic Life Care Foundation is offering STEAM After-School enrichment programming at emPowerU March 30 through May 4.

The six-week program will be held Tuesdays from 4:30-6 p.m. Space is limited. The Foundation will follow appropriate guidelines with participants and staff including temperature screenings, face mask requirements, social distancing and providing hand sanitizing stations.

The programs are designed for students entering grades 1-8 to create and develop an interest in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM). Program offerings include: Coding Drones, LEGO WeDo 2.0 Robotics, Virtual Reality Explorers and recently added: SOS: Endangered Earth.

SOS: Endangered Earth is offered through Club Invention, an initiative of Camp Invention. In this program, children team up with the Saving Our Species (SOS) organization and use their ingenuity to fulfill an important mission – protecting animal habitats and preserving natural resources across the country. It builds mindset habits such as building confidence, practicing design thinking and demonstrating persistence.

All sessions feature hands-on activities led by trained facilitators. The cost is $50 per child for the six-week program. To register, visit https://www.mlcfoundation.com/after-school-programming/.
