Foundation Hosts emPowerU Open House

Mosaic Life Care Foundation invites the community to attend the emPowerU Open House and scholarship reception on April 29, 2021, 4-6 p.m.

The Foundation’s 2021 scholarship awardees will be recognized at 4:30 p.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the facility, experience virtual reality and learn about emPowerU programming.

Dr. Julie Gaddie, Foundation president, said she is excited for the community to learn how the Foundation has leaned in to help our region through the pandemic.

“We look forward to reconnecting with our local and regional friends at this annual event,” Gaddie said. “Together, we can empower our youth to commit to the future of health in our communities.”

emPowerU is a place and a program. The downtown St. Joseph facility is technology rich and designed to support collaboration and possibility thinking.

The facility was created to host programs that raise youth’s awareness to the importance of civic responsibility and provide them with the opportunity to impact positive change. Since 2007, more than 24,000 students have experienced the impact of emPowerU programs such as the Civic Engagement Immersions and e2 Fellowship.

The Foundation will follow appropriate guidelines including requiring face masks, temperature screening, social distancing and hand sanitizing stations.
