Think Ahead Works® to hold Spring Open House
Heartland Foundation’s new satellite facility will offer youth programming and support for rural entrepreneurs
Heartland Foundation will hold a Spring Open House at Think Ahead Works® on April 3, 2018 from 1:00 to 7:00 pm. The public is invited to stop by and tour the buildings located at 105 and 107 West Vermont Street in King City, Missouri. Refreshments and program information will be available.
The Think Ahead Works® Learning Lab at 105 West Vermont will house emPowerU programming focused on civic engagement, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) youth activities, and a new social enterprise to engage youth in creating, marketing, and selling student-generated products.
Heartland Foundation will offer co-working space for entrepreneurs and others in need of an office environment at 107 West Vermont. This space features shared workspaces, access to high speed wireless internet, and a small conference room. Membership options range from pay as you go to packages that include 24/7 access.
To help fund a portion of this new programming, Heartland Foundation is offering Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) Tax Credits. Contributions made through this program directly benefit Missouri communities while allowing qualified donors to reduce their Missouri tax liability by 50% of their total contribution. Funds raised through NAP will be used by Heartland Foundation to provide paid internships and apprenticeships as part of the Think Ahead Works® social enterprise. The primary goal is to provide on-the-job training with real-world experience in running a business.
